Capture Critical Components and Full Plant As-Builts
Turbines, pumps, and pressure equipment rarely come with accurate documentation. We 3D scan individual components and entire generating facilities — delivering precise models for maintenance, retrofits, and reverse design.
Where 3D scanning pays off in energy
Turbine & pump components
Scan blades, impellers, casings, and housings to recreate or inspect complex geometry with no drawings.
Plant as-builts & retrofits
Capture generating halls, boiler rooms, and piping for accurate retrofit and expansion planning.
Outage & maintenance planning
Scan ahead of planned outages so work scopes are built on exact conditions.
Obsolete & legacy parts
Rebuild discontinued components for aging plants where OEM support has ended.
What you walk away with
Registered point cloud
A measurable 3D record of components or full plant areas.
Reverse-designed parts
Complex rotating and pressure components rebuilt to accurate geometry.
As-built & component CAD
Clean models for maintenance, fabrication, and design analysis.
Dimensional inspection
Measurement reports comparing components against spec or a reference.
How a scan project works
On-site scan
We bring professional scanners to your plant and capture the component or plant area in full detail.
Register & process
We stitch the scans into one accurate, measurable point cloud.
Model & deliver
We turn the data into the exact CAD model your project needs.
Why energy facilities rely on Creative GOAT
Power generation infrastructure presents some of the most demanding conditions for accurate documentation. Turbines, generators, pumps, and pressure vessels operate under conditions that accelerate wear and make manual measurement difficult — and the consequences of working from inaccurate data during a maintenance outage or retrofit are measured in days of lost generation, not hours.
Creative GOAT provides 3D scanning services specifically suited to generating facilities and energy infrastructure across Canada and the United States. We work with both large-scale utility installations and smaller independent power producers, capturing the geometry of individual rotating components as well as full plant areas during planned outages.
The most common request from energy clients is reverse design of legacy components. For aging plants where OEM support has ended and original drawings are unavailable, we scan the component in its current state — even if worn — and reconstruct accurate, manufacturable geometry from the scan data. The resulting CAD model gives your technical team or fabrication supplier the geometry they need to produce a replacement part, without waiting on an OEM that may no longer exist.
Outage planning is the other area where our work makes a direct operational difference. Scanning a plant area ahead of a planned shutdown gives your crew accurate dimensions and as-built conditions before they arrive on-site. Retrofit components can be designed and fabricated in advance to fit the actual space, reducing outage duration and cutting down fit-up surprises.
We serve hydro, natural gas, wind, and industrial cogeneration facilities across Canada and the United States, working within strict site safety requirements and operating around your scheduled maintenance windows. Accurate data before the work starts means less time in the plant and better outcomes when it matters most.
